we won the xm/myspace contest!

I don't have access to a computer right now but via mobile device I had
to let you know that we ended up winning the xm radio/myspace "show em
what you got" competition. we went on and there were 3 judges/xm radio
djs that basically said they appreciated the lane we were trying to be
in. the other 2 acts had a more mainstream sound and we thought that
would be in their favor but it ended up being in our favor! I don't know
what's next as far as the prize and all of that but more information
should be on myspace.com/xm.

I'm about to go to the airport in an hour and a half and that's probably
the wackest thing in the world right now but this has been a great
trip...peace!

had a dream last night

i owed credits in high school and had to go back...like that adam sandler movie. but i had music classes too...strange thing is the are was in my music class. the only "cameo" in my dream and it was the are! lol thats mad random because i havent seen him in weeks. anyway i kept trying to go to music class and id go out one door and end up back outside, or on another side of the school, or something like that. there was this one odd stairway that definitely challenged my fear of heights because there were no rails to it and it was like a 5 story drop. i fell and landed...i thought you dont do that in dreams! i got up and walked into the lunch room then the janitor grabbed me like "hey do you go here you look too old to go here! and i woke up.

i took that as a sign to start working on "peas gotta..." again. you know, since its about high school. im working on one of the few that i produced right now...its almost just a drum break, it reminds me of this slim thug song "i aint heard of that" but its an actual drum break not programmed, and...its just some...for lack of a better term..."raw shit"...damn im trying to not use typical rap terms lol

if anyone is wondering how this is coming out its dropping on von pea records and im serious like ti on satellite radio...next year!

Che Grand has also been at work on his record "E.G.U." and hes also starting the NEXT one so he has a head start. (they say the 1st album takes your whole life so you need as much time as you can get for the 2nd)

Tanya Morgan has been doing business and more business and more business but the results are we're going out on the road to do a few dates for a week or two. We're also supposed to work on a new project to drop some time before BrooklyNati and that will be the "sunlighting" this time, but it wont be over other peoples beats. that will probably will go into full production once we come off of the road and i pray to god we can finally put together an album again! all this business has stopped the tanya morgan music but hopefully we'll get back on the ball and put all of this focus into the music. thats what got us here in the 1st place! yall wont want to see us if the new shit is wack! lol

next week is CMJ so all the rappers reading this someone tell me where the scion joint is this year so i can get a free hamburger and a heineken. networking? ill hand out some grand vonye cds. but i really want a free hamburger.

why does outkast "hold on be strong" make me feel good? its just a minute long intro.

i consider that some positive shit...not that "mos kweli and common!" umbrella people like throwing out there, but its on some simple but effective "yo...fuck that other shit, just be strong youre going through for a reason" tip. and its just an intro!

i think sometimes aritsts that may want to say something positive think they have to be extra well read and be talking about something deep and specific. like, a dead pres or P.E. joint may be thrown into the positive pile and it can be about revolution and eating healthy and and AND, but what about the people that just need to hear "dont worry you'll get the rent paid one way or another"? i think kanye did that to an extent on graduation. thats whats up. i dont know, i dont have a point. just a random thought.
